Coop Warfare Updates

Yeah, it has been a while, i haven't been able to work on the mod for quite a while.
However, i still plan on releasing one more version, even though we don't have a lot of new maps as in previous updates (Clone Crisis will be in, a Prison break edition of bunker and other maps have been updated), there are quite a few new features. Here is a short info on the updates included so far:

Maps:

New maps: Clone Crisis & Bunker prison break edition

Updated older maps where possible

Fixed the support of SP maps on retail clients

Weapons:

We now have a fully working Flamethrower

Throwing Knifes! (you get them with every loadout)

A new "secret" weapon: the Shotty Pistol(s)

You can now carry 5 weapons by default

You can place up to 10 (instead of 5) remotes and proxies now

Two new special loadouts: "Nade Whore" and "Ninja"

Gameplay:

Dynamic difficulty based on the number of players

Max Armor is now at 150

Certain enemies now drop pickups when they die
(PowerArmor: Medkit, HeavyArmor: Light Armor, Assassin: Health Injector)

Added the ability to buy weapons with your score
(has to be included in map design)

Gore: Gibbing reduced, but severing will occure more often

Editor/Mapping:

CountPlayers command to get number of Players on a server
Can be used for a wide variety of dynamic events

BuyWeapon command: To be used in weapon vendors

Additional arithmetic operators: mult, div, and mod

This is right from nameyourfear.com :

The fans have named the sequel to Monolith's hit game F.E.A.R.!
Monolith Productions will develop the sequel to F.E.A.R. under the new
title, Project Origin. Project Origin

New Info about Monolith's Sequel to FEAR

This was posted by Yurei at the Name Your Fear Forum:

Some of the first articles about Monolith's demo at E3:

GameSpot’s First Look Impressions E3 07:
Andrew Park from GameSpot gets a first look at the Monolith’s sequel. “While publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Monolith have yet to finalize an official name for its sequel to the action-packed first-person shooter (a name that is being finalized later this month in a contest that the publisher is holding), it seems pretty clear from what we saw that the game itself will be every bit as bloody, violent, and profane as the original, if not much, much more so.” Read the entire article here.

Computerandvideogames.com First Impressions from E3
Will Porter from Computerandvideogames.com also had the opportunity to preview Monolith's demo at E3. “With its clearly improved action and unremitting blood stains (now incorporating footprints, added hand-prints and … garbled haemoglobin-packed swirls and strange words daubed on walls) …In short: colour me impressed.” Read the entire article here.

Discuss this article in the forum HERE
FEAR: Perseus Mandate announced

July 11, 2007 - Today Sierra announced two separate expansions to its spooky first-person shooter, F.E.A.R. For the PC version, the Perseus Mandate expansion gives players a new angle on the events at Armacham with a new team. The story runs parallel to the original's and includes new enemies.

On the Xbox 360, F.E.A.R. Files includes both of the expansions that have been made available for the PC version: F.E.A.R. Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate.

Source: http://pc.ign.com/articles/803/803410p1.html

Other sources state that Perseus Mandate will be a stand-alone expansion which runs on the same engine but without the main game. :cheese:

Discuss this story in the forum HERE
